For over 50 years, https://deserthillschurch.com has been a cornerstone of faith and fellowship in the greater Phoenix area. Our mission is to glorify Christ by loving God, serving one another, and reaching the world with the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection for sinners. Love God

When Jesus was asked about the greatest commandment, He cited Deuteronomy 6:5: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" (Matt 22:37). This commandment lies at the heart of our church's mission. At Desert Hills, we strive to live out this commandment daily, nurturing a deep and abiding love for God that influences every aspect of our lives.

Our commitment to loving God begins with the expositional preaching of God's Word. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and that it has the power to transform lives. Each week, our pastors diligently study and proclaim the Scriptures, helping us to understand and apply God's truth to our lives. Through faithful preaching, we seek to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, becoming more like Him in our thoughts, words, and actions.

Beyond our Sunday services, we offer a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth and learning. Our small group Bible studies provide a space for deeper fellowship and discussion, allowing us to explore God's Word together and encourage one another in our faith journeys. We also have adult fellowship groups, children's Sunday school, and specialized groups for men and women. These gatherings are designed to foster a sense of community and provide ongoing spiritual nourishment.

Serve One Another

In Galatians 5:13, the Apostle Paul wrote, "Serve one another through love." At Desert Hills, we believe that genuine love for other believers is demonstrated through loving service. Our church offers a variety of ministries that provide numerous opportunities to serve each week, allowing us to put our faith into action and meet the needs of our church family and the wider community.

Our children's ministry is a vibrant and essential part of our church. Through Sunday school classes, Vacation Bible School, and other special events, we aim to teach our youngest members about the love of Jesus in a fun and engaging way. Our dedicated volunteers create a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith and develop a lifelong love for God.

For adults, we offer various fellowship and service opportunities. Our men's and women's groups meet regularly for Bible study, prayer, and mutual encouragement. These groups provide a space for deepening relationships, sharing struggles, and celebrating victories together. Additionally, our adult fellowship groups offer a place for individuals and couples to connect, support one another, and serve together in various capacities.

Reach the World

Our mission at Desert Hills extends beyond our church walls. Jesus commissioned us to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19-2, and we take this mandate seriously. We are committed to sharing the gospel with our unbelieving neighbors in the Phoenix metro area and supporting mission work globally.

Locally, we engage in various outreach efforts to share the love of Christ with those around us. Our evangelism team regularly goes out into the community to share the gospel and invite people to our church. We also host events and programs that provide opportunities for people to hear about Jesus in a welcoming and non-threatening environment. Whether it's through holiday outreach events, community service projects, or personal evangelism, we seek to make Christ known in our city.
