Though the Linksys velop is a mesh and complex setup, it comes with a WPS button that makes the setup process easy. Apart from that method, there are two other processes such as the web-based and WiFi app. So, if in any case, you fail in these processes you can try the setup without using the web portal or the Linksys velop setup without app. But, make sure your existing modem is compatible with the WPS feature and check if that is working or not before starting the setup process. If that is compatible then start the process by taking your velop and modem.

Plug both devices into the power sockets using the power cables and switch them on to get stable power LEDs. Once there are solid lights on both devices then, press the WPS button from the velop’s panel first. Afterward, push the same WPS button from the modem and wait for a few minutes after pressing the buttons. Soon, the process will be complete, and your velop will become ready to use now.
